Posted by rahul
The ASUS RT-AC68U Dual Band AC1900 router supports 192.168 0.1 and 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal, support of 802 11ab/g/n and AC signal
It also supports a dual core processor and has 128 megabyte of internal storage of DDR3 RAM. The dual 2 core processor is meant for better responsiveness and better file management through the USB ports A very large router but the performance is absolutely amazing, in terms of general appearance it is a very attractive looking device. In term of theoretical speed on the 2.4 GHz signal, you could reach theoretical speeds of 600 megabits per second, and in the 5 gigahertz signal you could theoretically reach speeds of 1300 megabits per second. Of course theoretically speeds are not achievable. The price tag is worth it because it is future proofing the home network.

How to Access 192.168 0.1 in Asus ?

On the front of the router there are some LED indicator lights, the first four on the left indicate how many devices are physically connected through a gigabit port at the back, then there is the USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, for file management, power LED, the 2.4 and 5 GHz signal to know that they are active and working. Over on the right side there are two buttons, one is a WPS button and the other is the button that turns the Wi-Fi on and off. On the back there a lot of ports that correspond to four gigabit ports that connect your computer and laptop and other devices. Wider back allows a lot ventilation at the back, helping the router to stay relatively cool.

The software is one of the fundamental things about the router, the amount of customization available is unbelievable. When you login to the router settings you will see the primary page, you can see how many devices are connected. System status has two options- quick status and the ability to change the wireless password. Guest network allows you to enable a guest account. In case you have someone coming over for one evening and you want them to have access to the internet but you do not want them to have access to your intranet so your network files perhaps which might have some sensitive information you do not want to share, simply enable an account and give them a password.

Next the traffic manager allows you to monitor “quality of service”. If you play a lot of video games, you want a lot of bandwidth dedicated to your video game console, you can do that by enabling “quality of service”. Traffic monitor basically allows you to monitor the status of how much data is being used, and what type of connection you are on. Parental control is quite a cool thing for parents . Most of the options in the interface has large descriptions of what you can do and how to use them.

USB application is what ASUS RT-AC68U Dual Band AC1900 router highly emphasizes, so you have a lot of software dedicated to that. A idisk allows you to share files through your USB stick, gives you a temporary IP address which you can use to access that information. Then there is the FTP setup which is more detailed, and you can restrict which folders are more accessible and modify them. There is also the media server which you can set “ on”, and anything you have in the USB stick you access that on the TV. Then you have the network printer, which allows the printer to be connected to one of the USB ports.

Next in Download master, click on add and you can browse for torrent files or if have HTTP or FTP site that you want to connect to instead, you can just type in the URL for it, and you will see a list of all the downloads and uploads that are happening. IP version 6 is also available. There is VPN options which you can setup. There are a tonne of router firewall
setting. The SUS RT-AC68U Dual Band AC1900 router definitely has some pros like fast, amazing range, easy to use interface, USB file access form anywhere, attractive physical design and fast guest step up.
